Kaprow's main argument is the decision on what can and can not be considered art, and how this decision can be made. He argues that pretty much anything can be considered art, if viewed in that way. Brushing his teeth can be looked at as an example of a "verb" that we discussed in class. When one first thinks about the act of brushing their teeth, they may see it as nothing but a habit. When looked at closer, though, one can realize the art behind the techniques and aspects of brushing. This relates to how we discovered in class that a single verb can be looked at in many different ways, and can mean different things to different people. When you look at other verbs or nouns from this perspective, you start to realize how much more you can use to create art. I thought the use of brushing his teeth was an interesting example to use, because it is an act that most people wouldn't think so analytically about.
